Can I transfer money from my credit union account to an account at another financial?
If you have a checking account, you can write a check on your account here and deposit it into an account at another financial institution. There is no fee for this type of transfer.
Here are other ways you can transfer your money from your White Sands Federal Credit Union account to an account at another financial institution.
- You can send a wire transfer from checking or savings. You will need to provide the wiring instructions from the receiving institution. You can send a wire transfer by calling us or visiting a branch.
- You can also set up an electronic one-time or recurring money transfer from your savings (subject to six-withdrawal per month limit) or checking account with us to another financial institution through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network . You will need to provide us with the routing number and account number at the receiving institution. You can set up an ACH transfer by calling us or visiting a branch.
- You can also use Zelle to transfer money from your account here to another person. You need access to CU Online Banking, and you need to sign-up for Bill Pay to use Zelle. Although there is no cost to send funds with Zelle, there is a monthly fee to use Bill Pay if you choose to use this service.
Each of these four methods of transferring funds has a fee, and the fees vary by transaction type. You can find the fees in our fee schedule on page 2.
