What is the minimum age requirement to open a Checking Account?
The minimum age to open a checking account is 13 years. Our First Checking for teens with Visa® Check card is specifically for teens age 13 – 17. It is an excellent account to introduce teens to personal financial management. First Checking for teens has no monthly maintenance fee, and comes with digital access through CU Online banking, Visa® Check card, eStatements and ATM access.
Other checking options include Premium Checking powered by Bazing®, EZ Checking, and Preferred Checking. Members over age 55 can open a Silver Class checking account.
